Rolled bituminous roofs

The basis of the modified coating is fiberglass or fiberglass impregnated with bitumen and polymer additives. Thanks to this combination of materials, the coating acquires additional strength, ductility and high resistance to deformation.

Ruberoid is a rolled roofing and waterproofing material with a reinforced fiberglass or polyester base, resistant to aging and decay. The top layer is additionally protected with grit for better weather resistance.

As modifiers in roofing material, there are two most common types of polymers: styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) and atactic polypropylene (APP).

SBS is a modified material better known as rubber. It saves its chemical and physical properties when heated to +110 ° C, and also has a reduced brittleness temperature, installation is possible even during frost.

APP – has a higher softening point up to + 140 °C and a relatively small elongation at break – 150%. This material is highly resistant to UV radiation as well as chemical resistance to meadows and acids.
