Kyiv city. Roof replacement and additional insulation
Replacement of the roof covering of the warehouse from a profile sheet with a polymeric PVC membrane, as well as additional insulation with mineral wool plates.
DESCRIPTION
Replacing the roof covering solves the issue of waterproofing and allows for further improvement in thermal insulation.
WHAT WAS DONE:
- Surface preparation of the old roof, made of steel profile sheet (additional fastening).
- Dismantling of old nodes of abutment from walls and other roofs.
- Installation of the end strip for insulation along the perimeter of the roof.
- Installation of a vapor barrier and laying of insulation from mineral wool boards 100 mm thick.
- Mechanical fastening of the insulation.
- Installation of PVC membrane (mechanical fastening, soldering of welded seams).
- Manufacturing and installation of PVC clamping strips.
- Installation of abutments to walls, manual soldering of welded seams.
- Waterproofing the joint of two roofs, membrane and roofing felt.
